Baseball savants Holden Kushner and Ryan Spaeder are rebooting their national baseball podcast on Blue Wire under a new name. “The Walk Off” will record two episodes a week featuring a combination of baseball talk from the guys and interviews with some of the most influential figures in the sport. The podcast, formerly known as “The Best Baseball Podcast,” re-launches in March and will have you covered all season long.
Kushner comes to Blue Wire as an already established media member with an impressive resumé. For the last 13 years, he has worked in radio/TV at Sirius-XM and 106.7 The Fan in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he hosted radio shows in Las Vegas, Kansas City and Des Moines. He even worked with Blue Wire CEO Kevin Jones at WUSA-TV back in the day.
Spaeder has a slightly different background. He may be a Data Specialist for the United States Department of Defense by day, but don’t let that fool you. Spaeder is an accomplished baseball author and Hall of Fame critic. His book, Incredible Baseball Stats: The Coolest, Strangest Stats and Facts in Baseball History, Version II, made it all the way to No. 2 on Amazon’s Best Seller list for baseball, and he now runs his own website covering MLB.
The Walk Off joins the Bronx Pinstripes Crew as part of Blue Wire’s expansion into baseball podcasting. It also gives Blue Wire a national podcast for every major American sport. Welcome to the team.
